Community College of Beaver County students who are enrolled in flight training at High Flight Academy enjoy an evening filled with fun and engaging activities at 11th Frame in Butler, PA.

The evening’s festivities began with games in the bowling venue’s BackAlley special event space. Several students and instructors teamed up for duckpin bowling, corn hole, and pig skins and pins. One-hour into the social, Robert Marshall, Assistant Chief Flight Instructor (also a CCBC graduate), led all guests through a game of trivia with questions relating to High Flight’s partnership with Community College of Beaver County, High Flight training resources, as well as Pittsburgh Butler Regional Airport history. All CCBC student participants were awarded gift cards to local eateries as prizes.

In addition to the fun activities, the event culminated around the announcement and launch of High Flight Academy’s Ambassador Program for Community College of Beaver County students. As Robert continued the presentation, “Tonight we launch this program to strengthen our commitment to you. High Flight has plans to develop unique programming to help you (CCBC students) grow into your profession, invite you onto the team after earning your instructor certificate so you can build the time needed to reach ATP minimums, and help connect you with the right people and organizations so you can land that commercial pilot career you’ve always dreamed about.” Desiree Herman, now a former High Flight instructor, as well as a CCBC graduate, was also present. One month earlier she took a position at Private Jet Center (PJC) in Zelionople, bringing home the very real concept that High Flight Academy is more than just a flight school.
